Oh lumey, so far in my quest to create an entry for my Blog-a-Day 2012, I’ve only managed to get as far as Monday and still have the remainder of the week’s entries to compose. So many distractions, so little time left. It doesn’t help that I’ve just found a copy of the Jack White (The White Stripes), The Edge (US) and Jimmy Page (c’mon, I don’t need to tell you, do I? Led Zeppelin) documentary “It Might Get Loud” on Youtube where the three get together and discuss their creative talents. I’ve always wanted to be a good guitarist (forget Great – I know my limitations) so it doesn’t help when Jack White knocks two nails into a plank of wood, adds a glass coke bottle as a bridge and then fixes a pickup under a single string wound around the nails from which utters a wonderful blues riff. As much as I’d like to blame the amp I don’t actually possess, any FX pedals that are absent from my repertoire – it’s more a lack of talent and dedication that is stopping me from calling myself a guitarist.
