It would appear that my Flickr community aren’t as enamoured with Hyena as I am as I haven’t had as many “likes/favourites/comments” as I usually do with my daily posts. I can understand why, they don’t appear to be the most endearing creatures, and they don’t display characteristics that are highly valued in society, skulking, sly, conniving.. yes, they do give off a very negative appearance but I still like them. I’ve checked off a number of “want to do/see” when on safari in Africa but one thing I haven’t yet heard is a Hyena “laugh”… it’s probably the level of jokes I come out with when I’m over there… what do you, Dear Reader, they’re not much better on here either? Charming!
I know I’ve prattled on about the styling cues of the Leica M series of camera and who;s good looks are aped by a plethora of other camera manufacturers – well, it’s Leica’s turn to take advice from another company that has had major influence with their products. Sir Jonathan Ive is working with Leica to produce a one off camera which will then be auctioned and the proceeds given to charity. Who is Sir Ive, I hear you ask (I asked myself the same question)… well he’s the Chief Designer at Apple, the man responsible for the looks of the iPhone and iPad amongst other things. I’m not sure how you can you can improve on perfection, but it appears one lucky person who purchases the camera at auction is going to find out. Do you think they accept luncheon vouchers?
